Development and start of production of FCV products

JTEKT Corporation has newly developed and started the production of a high pressure hydrogen gas valve and pressure-reducing valve, components for the FCV “MIRAI” released by Toyota Motor Corporation on December 15.

The high pressure hydrogen gas valve is mounted on a tank where high pressure hydrogen (a power source for FCVs) is pooled. Its role is to stop/supply the high pressure hydrogen.
The pressure-reducing valve decompresses the high pressure hydrogen supplied from the supply valve in the lower stack to the usable level.

For both the high pressure hydrogen gas valve and pressure-reducing valve, we have achieved durability levels necessary for high-volume production as well as high sealing performance for use under high pressure hydrogen environments to allow installation on FCVs.
