at the 46th Tokyo Motor Show 2019
JTEKT Corporation will be exhibiting at the 46th Tokyo Motor Show 2019 held at Tokyo Big Sight from October 24 to November 4.
Exhibition Concept
“Touch the Tech! – Touch the future technologies –”
JTEKT has succeeded in the development and the volume production of electric power steering first in the world and achieved safe and comfortable drive through the harmony between drivers and automobiles. JTEKT now proposes future technologies such as CASE and MaaS for the upcoming mobility society.
With the wish to be the most understanding business partner of customers, JTEKT proposes stories of new future that begins with knowing more about JTEKT’s technologies and creating bonds.
About Our Exhibition
1. Future Concept Vehicle 2
The collaborative technologies such as Steer-by-Wire and In-Wheel-Motor that JTEKT has been developing as the future technologies, and FCV installed with steering wheel retractable column module function that foresees autonomous driving (exhibited in Tokyo Motor Show 2017) evolved as a driving simulator. Toyoda Gosei and JTEKT examined the cockpit concept 2030 that leveraged the companies’ characteristics. Based on this concept, JTEKT proposes future mobility that installs left and right independent type Steer-by-Wire and other mobility that realize safety and comfortability. Feel the “comfortability of autonomous driving” and “joy of driving” in the future automobile society where drivers can choose autonomous driving and manual driving.
2. RAV4 Cutaway Body
A cutaway body of Toyota Motor’s RAV4 new model debuted in April 2019 will be exhibited.
The cutaway body shows all the parts that support RAV4’s powerful driving such as not only the electric actuator and the electronic controlled 4WD system (ITCC) that are adopted in the new 4WD system (Dynamic Torque Vectoring AWD unit) and achieves high running performance/steering stability and improves fuel efficiency, but also JTEKT’s major products such as rack-parallel type electric power steering (RP-EPS) optimal for installation to large type SUVs, hub unit, constant velocity joint, and various bearings.
3. Technologies and products that support CASE and MaaS
There will be lineups of No.1&Only One technologies and products such as lighter and higher efficient steering systems, driveline parts, and automobile bearings that improve fuel efficiency and support comfortable driving:

Booth Design
The walls of booth are painted in black and red JTEKT colors and represent the confidence and pride as a No.1&Only One leader that supports the growth of automobile industry.
The 14 protruding bars on the roof represent JTEKT’s accumulated technologies and the growth of 14 years, as well as JTEKT’s challenging state towards the future.
