JTEKT Develops the Large CNC Cylindrical Grinder "G5 Series" Sales to Begin on October 26, 2026

JTEKT CORPORATION (Headquarters: Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan; President: Yoshihito Kondo; hereinafter "JTEKT") has developed the large CNC cylindrical grinder"G5 Series" and begun its sales on October 26, 2026.
JTEKT has been renewing its cylindrical grinder lineup, first launching the small CNC cylindrical grinder "G1 Series" in 2022, followed by the medium CNC cylindrical grinder "G3 Series." The G5 Series completes the lineup as the large-size model of the G Series.
The G5 Series is on display at JIMTOF2026 (the 33rd Japan International Machine Tool Fair), held at Tokyo Big Sight from October 26 to 31, 2026.

1) Enhanced Capability for Long and Heavy Workpieces While Maintaining High-Precision Grinding
- Supports grinding of long and heavy workpieces with a maximum distance between centers of 4,000 mm and a maximum load capacity between centers of 1,500 kg.
- A higher-output grinding wheel spindle motor contributes to shorter grinding times for long and heavy workpieces.
The grinding wheel spindle incorporates STAT BEARING™, while high-grade hand scraping is applied to the feed slides, achieving both long-term durability and high-precision grinding.
2) Easy Operation and Automation Independent of Operator Skill
- The G Series common user interface, Easy Operation, enables intuitive operation and shorter setup times.
