| Abstract | Sliding door bearings for automobiles are used to support sliding doors and allow them to open and close smoothly. In recent years, the mounting location of sliding door bearings has been moving towards the exterior of the vehicle due to the expansion of the vehicle interior. This has worsened the water exposure environment, leading to a problem of rusting on the outside surface of the bearing. JTEKT has developed a sliding door bearing using a stainless steel material with high corrosion resistance for the outer ring material, which has begun mass production. This bearing is introduced below. |
