| Abstract | Future steering systems need to not only be compatible with automated driving systems, but also allow for improved driving space flexibility. To address these needs, we are currently developing a Steer-by-Wire system with no mechanical link. This document provides an explanation of the advantages of this new steering system, its concept of safety, and new technologies such as system redundancy and control based on the concept of safety. |
