Abstract This is an introduction of the new generation TORSEN Type Csm (sm: smart module) developed based on our current TORSEN Type C, a limited slip differential (LSD) used as a center differential in All Wheel Drive vehicles. We have achieved a compact and lightweight design for this product by eliminating the outer case, and have adopted a modular design for core components to facilitate the efficient development and productivity of new applications.
