Abstract The demands regarding machine tool performance requirements are growing more stringent, and in order to satisfy such demands, improving the performance of the bearings used in machine tool spindles is an important issue that must be addressed. This report presents JTEKT’s initiatives for the high functionality of machine tool spindle products as an example of spindle bearing and unit product development.
