Abstract We developed a precise docking control technology for large city buses as projects promoted by Japan’s Cabinet Offi ce. Precise docking technology is a technology to minimize the gap between the step of the bus and the platform at a bus stop, and is necessary for smooth boarding/alighting and on-time performance. We installed steering and braking control systems, and developed control strategy. First, we constructed a steering and braking algorithm. This report introduces precise docking technology and evaluation in traffi c environment.
