Abstract To achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, it is essential to take energy-saving measures in the heat treatment furnace process, which makes up a large portion of the CO2 emitted in all processes. In a heat treatment furnace, only about 20% of the energy input is effectively used to heat the work, and the remaining 80% is lost. Losses caused by Endothermic gas, heat dissipation from the furnace body, and temperature control of quenching oil are particularly significant. Focusing on these energy losses, we developed energy-saving technology and conducted demonstration tests to confirm its effectiveness.
